Imtaz Khaliq background
Imtaz Khaliq has been named by Cosmopolitan as one of the four top tailors in London. Her couture tailoring business
has been established for over 16 years.
Imtaz creates exclusive garments for both men and
women. She has vast experience in designing suits and dresses for special
occasions such as weddings. She also holds one on
one tailoring classes, which have been featured in Time Out magazine.
Imtaz enjoys a high profile client base, having designed for pop star Dina Carroll, actress Michelle Pfeiffer,
newsreader Kay Burley and supermodel Tatjana Pattiz. Her tailoring work has been featured on GMTV, Central TV, Channel 4,
and in numerous magazines including The Face, Tatler, and Cosmopolitan. She has talked internationally as an inspiration
to people wanting to break into fashion, most recently at The British Library as part of The Silk Road Exhibition. Imtaz
was photographed by Jason Bell in the Sunday Times Magazine as 'The Next Big Thing' in 2005 and has judged a national
tailoring competition (30 colleges) 'Can U Cut it' launched at the Clotheshow Live. Imtaz joined the ranks of
'Listed Londoners' by being asked to talk about her London on BBC Radio London by Robert Elms.
